Mr. Palenzuela has been working in the field of Architecture for more than 23 years. He received his Bachelors of Architecture Degree, from Temple University in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, in 1987. Mr. Palenzuela obtained his license in Architecture & Interior Design from the state of Florida in 1998. He is also N.C.A.R.B. certified to obtain additional licences in other states as required.

Mr. Palenzuela’s Design and Construction Management experience includes shopping centers, retail stores, medical facilities, professional offices, restaurants, single and multi-family housing, manufacturing warehouses and educational facilities.

Mr. Palenzuela’s experience with educational facilities began in 1987 with the addition, remodeling & renovation of Miami-Jackson Senior High School, and the design and construction documents of EH/SED Center School South Prototype for the firm of Bomfa Architecture, Inc.  As an Associate and later as Vice-President in the firm of Feinberg & Associates, PA.  Mr. Palenzuela was the project manager for the construction of the addition, remodeling, and renovations at Miami-Killian Senior High School. He was also project manager for the  restoration of three “hurricane damaged” schools in South Dade: G. Holmes Braddock Senior High School, Cutler Ridge Middle School, and Centennial Middle School.  He also designed Howard Drive and Coral Reef Elementary Schools additions, remodeling, and renovations projects.  As a cofounder and principal of  Palenzuela & Hevia Design Group, Inc., he has served as an architectural consultant to Feinberg & Associates A.I.A. Architects P.A. in charge of  bidding and construction Administration for Howard Drive and Coral Reef Elementary School. Since then Mr. Palenzuela along with Mr. Hevia have successfully completed additions, remodeling and renovation projects at Mays Community Middle School, State School Addition ("Q-Q") at Richmond Heights Middle School an Elevator Addition and ADA renovations at Miami-Killian Senior High School; they are currently working on the additions, remodeling and renovation projects at State School Addition ("FF-1") - Brownsville Middle School, an Elevator addition and ADA renovations at West Little River Elementary, a New Gymnasium addition and remodeling project at Miami Palmetto Senior High School, Science Lab renovations at Homestead Senior High School and a renovation project at L.C. Evans Elementary School. 

Mr. Palenzuela also has vast experience in restaurant and retail design. As Vice-President in  the firm of Feinberg & Associates, PA. he designed numerous “Sizzlers” and “Red, Hot and Blues” Restaurants in Dade, West Palm Beach and in the Orlando-Orange County area. His retail experience ranges from “kiosk” and stores for Chain Reaction Jewelers at Dadeland, Westland and Cutler Ridge Malls, Barefoot Mailman, Natalias women apparel, to the 75,000 sq.ft. Kendall Breeze Shopping Center in South Dade.

Mr. Palenzuela’s residential experience ranges from custom single-family home to multi-family residential developments like Palm Gardens Apartment at Doral; Los Portales Townhouses and the Sunshine Condominium in Hialeah; Santa Navila Townhouse Development in Hialeah Gardens; The Cove at Briar Bay, Lighthouse Pointe at Baywinds and Paradise Bay at Andros Isle in West Palm Beach; Venetia Gardens Condominium and Venetia Groves Townhouses at Keysgate in Homestead; Malibu Bay, The Oasis, Eave Breeze and Crystal Lake in Homestead; The Palms at Bayshore, Coral Estates II Homes and Palm Gardens Estates in Dade County.

Mr. Palenzuela is thoroughly knowledgeable in the Florida Building Code, Local Zoning Ordinances, the Florida Fire Prevention Code, the Florida State Requirements for Educational Facilities, Miami-Dade County Public Schools’ Guidelines for Design and Construction, the Florida Accessibility Code, the Federal Fair Housing Guidelines and the Federal A.D.A. Law.
